REAL COOL STORIES (week ended 2/17/24)

Another music week for me.  I had the special opportunity to see U2 at the Las Vegas Sphere.  What an experience and a spectacular show.

The Sphere is located behind the Venetian hotel just off the Strip.  I will put a pic and a video at the end for your viewing.  To learn more, go to:

For the U2 show, there is a capacity of 17,500.  I would say there were close to that many people at the show on February 15th.  Except for maybe the last 10 rows of the 100 level, there are no “bad” seats.  We could see the band and the screen behind them easily.  We were in row 20 in Section 110.

The performance was amazing.  Bono and the Edge still have it.  For guys in their 60s, they have TONS of energy, and the singing and harmonies were incredible.  I have seen U2 a couple of times, and they have not lost a step at all!  Adam Clayton was suburb rocking the bass.  New drummer Bram van den Berg was excellent filling in for the ailing Larry Mullen.

It is so hard describing the venue and the concert.  The music was sensational.  The use of the HUGE video wall was mind blowing.  I guess my only point is IF you are in Vegas and can afford a show or tour of the Sphere, JUST DO IT!

It will provide a real, cool story for sure!
